    • GOAL: Considering our movie, how is this creative endeavor balancing the embedded purposes of the artist and the need to appeal to the audience?
    • ROLE: You are a director studying the old version of The Power of One in preparation for the new remake set to come out in 2021. 
    • AUDIENCE: The investors holding the funding for the making of this movie.
    • SITUATION: You are competing with other potential directors to be the next name behind the 2021 remake of The Power of One. You must record a proposal of how you would cast parts, film scenes and create a manageable and efficient budget for this film. 
    • PRODUCT: A written proposal to be read by the investors. Your proposal should include:
      • Casting list (include at least three characters and your preferred actor with a one sentence explanation of why you chose this actor).
      • Scene Innovations List (include at least three scenes with a brief explanation of how you would film it differently from the 1990s movie).
      • Budget Guardrail (include at least three innovations you would include that would save money. This could be a change from the book or the movie). 
      • You may include one last Miscellaneous section with any other innovations you would like to include. 
    • GRADES: Your grade will be out of 20 points and will be based on your references to the novel and movie. Your ideas should be logical and reveal your understanding of both the craft and meaning behind the scenes you've chosen.
