EQ: Are your notes from the posters in your Journal 4 and ready for an open-notes quiz on block day?  
  • Poster Time to work on Journal 4: Poster Notes.
  • At the end of class, pick 2-3 partners (Group = Maximum of 4 members). Our next project is called a Myth Retold (see the description here). We will begin next week. 
  • Research various Greek myths. Consider which one would be good for your project. Pick two or three to propose this block day. Only two groups can sign up for each myth.

1. Chesterton says that "he who has no sympathy with the myths has no sympathy with men" (361). What does he mean and do you agree?
2. According to Chesterton, where does the need for sacrifice come from? What does it satisfy? Do you think people today still feel that need?
3. According to Chesterton, why is Greek Mythology worth studying?
