WRITING
- First, let's analyze an example. How about Ephesians 3.
- Today we will view the next analysis prompt here and write an outline.
- First, take note of which rhetorical devices are used in each speech. Is one speech stronger in the area of ethos, logos or pathos? Are there other features that strengthen the appeal of one speech or the other? What does your gut tell you and can you pin down why?
- After you've chosen a speech, narrow it down to three strengths.
- Then write your thesis and start to gather your evidence.
- Do you know how to parenthetically cite a line from Shakespeare? What if you want to quote more than two lines?
- Can we write a few theses together?
